Robert Schumann’s wife Clara, a formidable woman, was desired by many, none more so than fellow composer Johannes Brahms. To what extent did the love for this great woman inspire these two towering geniuses to write these masterpieces of the piano repertoire? Peter Donohoe will play this extra-ordinary combination of piano concertos, the centrepiece of this year’s Summer Classics.

Jason Thornton and Peter Donohoe will give a pre-concert talk at 6:30pm at the Guildhall.
