Modernised Victorian townhouse with panoramic city views. Very high standard of accommodation with individually decorated rooms (no chintz or swirly carpets!). All rooms have TV / DVD player and a small library of DVDs is available for guests' use.
Breakfast is served in the elegant dining room on a long French oak refectory table. Buffets of fresh fruit yoghurts, cereals and home-made jams. Cooked local produce, farm eggs, local bacon and sausages. Vegetarians well catered for.
A short 10 minute walk to the centre of the city and rail station. Private parking.
The owner, Katherine Dewhurst, has a wealth of local knowledge and will also recall stories from her time spent with the Royal household.
