Designed in the 1770s by John Wood the Younger, Rivers Street Rooms typifies traditional Bath architecture – a five storey Georgian Town House retaining many of its original features. It is also centrally located, being only a minutes walk from the Circus, the Crescent and the Assembly Rooms as well as a few minutes walk to the centre of town.

River Street Rooms has recently been renovated and all rooms and facilities are modern and inviting.

On the lower ground floor is our courtyard suite. The room enjoys a lovely kingsize size bed, table and two chairs, refreshment tray and a 19 inch flat screen tv with extra freeview channels. The room has it’s own adjoining marble tiled shower room and wc. The room also enjoys it’s own small courtyard garden, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine or cup of tea after a day out in Bath.

On the top floor of our property we offer an affordable small double room equipped with double bed, side table, refreshment tray and single wardrobe. The room also enjoys a 19 inch flat screen tv with freeview.

Next to the small double is a lovely, recently decorated twin room. This has two antique mahogany beds which are large singles for a more comfortable nights sleep. The rooms also enjoys a colour TV and refreshment tray.

The small double and twin share a gorgeous bathroom just a few steps from each room, with a large red Victorian bath.

For families holidaying with their children we offer the twin and the double together as one package with the private bathroom. This provides parents with the best of both worlds : a family suite with some private space of their own. Please call for details.

Breakfasts are continental but generous and include a wide choice including homemade cakes, scones, fresh fruit salads and hot mini quiches.

All guests can enjoy free wi fi.

We are a friendly and welcoming couple with three children. We do not employ any staff and aim to offer the ‘personal touch’, at hand to help with any of your requirements to make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible.

Road Directions

From M4 jct 18
Head south from jct 18 on the A46, through Pennsylvania to a mini-roundabout; turn right onto A420 signposted ''Bristol''; after 0.5 mile turn left at staggered crossroads onto country lane; at the end of this lane turn left up the hill and follow road past race course, and on for approximately 2 miles; At St Stephens church turn right down Lansdown Road towards city. Turn right onto Julian Road and then first left on to Rivers Street. We are about 200 metres on left hand side.

Public Transport Directions

From Bath Spa
Either take the bus (outside station) or 20 mins by foot. Head north of the city to the Lansdown Road. Take the third left, turning in to Julian Road. Take the first left in to Rivers Street. We are about 200 metres on left hand side.
