Aerial and satellite mapping are not only used in map production and the defence industry, but are extremely important techniques assisting in agriculture, forestry, coastal defence, mineral prospecting, archaeology and environmental monitoring. Alex Koh from Bath Spa University is a leading expert in the field and has undertaken many aerial missions in the British Isles, Continental Europe, Africa, South America and the East Indies.
