Sharps & Flats, Buffalo Gals, Appalachia
Come and celebrate the opening of the celebrated Bath Americana Festival – as well as enjoying an Independence Day picnic – with an incredible line-up of regional string-band favourites! Bristolbased Appalachia will be on hand to offer their inspired take on American roots music. Buffalo Gals & Kate Lissauer, with their distinctive blend of old-time mountain tunes and songs, corny jokes, foot-stomping rhythms and occasional clogging, will put a broad grin on your face. Sharps & Flats, from Cornwall (or Kernow) are about as close to a bluegrass Boy Band as you will get and have given a brand new twist to an old-style music renowned for its dazzling 5-string banjo runs.
Bring a picnic rug or some chairs and sit back and enjoy an evening of pure heritage music, food and fun in the great outdoors of rural Claverton Down. BBQ and soft-drinks available to buy – or simply bring you own picnic!

Carravick Sisters
Identical twin sisters Charlotte and Laura Carrivick have grown up playing and writing music together. Their unique style shows their strong bluegrass influences without obscuring their English roots. With tight harmonies that only siblings can achieve, they perform their original songs on guitar, fiddle, mandolin, dobro and clawhammer banjo. They have performed both in the UK and internationally.

Out of the Brew Super Jam Session
Bryan Chalker held a ‘Mayor’s Acoustic Pickin’ In The Parlour Day on Friday, April 13, inviting as many local musicians as possible to attend and pick for pleasure. The event was a huge success and it was almost a ‘ceilidh meets bluegrass’ kind of day, which is pretty much what we hope to achieve in the historic vaults of this noted wine outlet. If you can pick, blow, suck or thump, then come and join Chris, Nick, Chic, Simon and Andy (and maybe Cllr. Chalker himself) and make music the Bath Americana way!
